Krysta Howles is a Registered Psychologist with General Registration under The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation (Ahpra). She brings a wealth of experience providing psychological support to both adolescents and adults, specialising in helping clients address mental health challenges and build healthier, more informed futures.

Krysta’s methodology is centred around exploring deeper insights into the self, empowering clients to make well-informed decisions about their present and future. She believes that by working together, clients and their psychologist can achieve meaningful and lasting growth.

With extensive experience in working with individuals affected by substance-related and addictive disorders, Krysta helps clients address the underlying symptoms that drive unhelpful coping mechanisms, such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues.

At Rewired Psychological Services, Krysta provides a secure and compassionate environment, transforming mental health concerns into opportunities for well-being. The practice believes that good therapy is built on compassion, effective techniques, and enthusiasm.

My Story

I founded Rewired Psychological Services with the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health support, regardless of their circumstances. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how barriers—whether they be financial, geographical, or emotional—can prevent individuals from seeking the help they need. My mission is to break down those barriers by providing accessible and affordable psychological services.

As a telehealth-only psychologist, I aim to make therapy more convenient and flexible for people in rural and remote areas, like Mackay, QLD, or those juggling busy schedules. By offering remote therapy, I can meet clients where they are—literally—whether that’s at home, work, or wherever they feel most comfortable.

Over the years, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life, supporting them through various challenges, including substance-related disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress. Through a compassionate, client-focused approach, I empower people to reclaim their mental health and build meaningful, lasting changes.

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process, where both psychologist and client work together to uncover deeper insights and create a better future. By making mental health care more accessible, I hope to help more people on their journey toward well-being.
